Indiana House Republicans voted to give anyone the right to sue local governments to stop performances they think are obscene.

Language dropped into an unrelated bill in a House committee Wednesday bans state and local government units from hosting or funding obscene performances.

After the House committee change, the measure, SB 1 (ss), bans all abortions with the exceptions of cases when the life – and, now, "physical health" – of the pregnant person are at risk.
