The Department of Natural Resources announced Tuesday it would reopen trails 2 and 3, both of which lie south of the creek and the main disturbance area. 

Department of Natural Resource leaders met Wednesday to create a plan to reopen damaged trails and facilities in McCormick’s Creek State Park.

The campground area was the most heavily damaged by the tornado and will not be accepting any new reservations for the remainder of 2023.

The couple was from Rossville, Indiana. The DNR is investigating.
