Police say a teenage boy who shot and wounded an Indiana sheriff’s deputy Tuesday while she and other deputies were conducting a welfare check at a home was later found dead inside the residence.

Police say southern Indiana officers fatally shot a man as they were investigating a woman’s harassment complaint about a man following her to a police station.

IMPD stopped the man around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday and opened fire on him when he stepped out of a vehicle with a gun.

Officers shot the suspect after he did not comply with commands to drop his handgun.

County prosecutor Brian Belding released his findings Tuesday based on an Indiana State Police investigation into the death of 29-year-old Devin Lark.
