The lots are at the corners of East Fourth and South Washington streets, East Sixth and North Lincoln streets, and East Fourth and South Dunn streets.

The code was approved by members of city council late last year and will go into effect June 12.

LPR is a virtual permit system that, once fully implemented, will allow the car’s license plate to be the parking permit in most circumstances.

Scooter companies usually reduce their fleets during winter, but the city still hopes to collect data.

Parking garages will also be free Dec. 24-25 and Jan.1-3 in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day, respectively.

Although parking services are operational, additional amenities included in the garage’s design, like public restrooms, are not finished.

A majority of the council supported each budget, except for parking services. In total, parking services is asking for a 13 percent decrease from it 2021 budget, dropping the total to $4.7 million.
