Last month, the cost of a Commercial All-Zone Permit increased from $55 per vehicle to $103.

The City of Bloomington is offering free on-street parking downtown and in city garages Nov. 25-28. The change observes the Thanksgiving holiday and supports local businesses ahead of Small Business Saturday and the city’s Holiday Market on Nov. 27.

Additionally, the city announced parking changes for weekends in December.

“Throughout the month of December, Saturday parking in the City’s public garages at Morton Street, Walnut Street, 4th Street, and the Trades District will be offered free of charge,” a city press release reads.

Parking garages will also be free Dec. 24-25 and Jan.1-3 in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day, respectively.

On street parking and city garages are already free every Sunday.
