READI grants

Local governments can use these grants to install new public art, improve museums and performing arts venues, establish competitions and festivals, attract performing artists to their region and develop architecture designs.

The governor created the READI grants in 2021 as a way to help generate public and private investment in local economic development. Its first round of funding – $500 million – came from the Biden administration’s stimulus package, the American Rescue Plan.

The proposed housing funding would cover more than 150 acres and create more than 250 homes, both single-family and multi-family, in Delaware, Henry, Grant, and Wayne counties.
