Inaugural Indiana Workforce Summit Gathers Policymakers, Employers

The Indiana Chamber is hosting the first ever workforce summit to connect employers and policymakers across the state.

The Indiana Chamber is hosting its first statewide workforce summit this week to connect employers to programs that train workers.

The Indiana Workforce Summit is geared toward policy makers and employers struggling to create a talent pipeline. Topics on the agenda range from using data to inform hiring practices to thinking about the work of the future.

Jason Bearce is the Indiana Chamber vice president of education and workforce development. He hopes the conference will shed light on the myriad of workforce programs across the state and how employers can navigate them.

“I think we also really want to take those isolated successes we see across the state and really empower people to scale those efforts so they become the rule rather than the exception,” Bearce says.

During the conference, the organization will also release the results of its 12th annual workforce survey.
