Columbus motorists will need to follow detour routes Friday night and into the weekend due to construction near Stewart Bridge.
Columbus Mayor Jim Lienhoop says the eastbound Columbus entrance off I-65 on State Road 46 will be closed as the railroad tracks are repaired.
"INDOT is going to have a formal bypass that will take I-65 north to Taylorsville where you can get on 31 and then come back into town," Lienhoop says.
Construction should be complete no later than Sunday evening.
