The Bloomington Board of Park Commissioners will meet at City Hall Thursday afternoon to vote on whether the City of Bloomington should continue to operate the Community Farmers' Market.
The city-run market faced controversy this year in part thanks to the presence of vendor Schooner Creek Farm, owned by Sarah Dye and Doug Mackey. Dye publicly identifies as an "identitarian" and was suspected to have ties to a white supremacist group.

Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton has publicly advocated for the city to retain control of the market, writing in a public letter that if the Parks Board votes to retain it, the city will continue to work on improving the market.
And earlier this week, more than 80 vendors sent a letter to Bloomington city officials asking them to continue running the market.
