Heavy rainfall this weekend brought more flooding to South Central Indiana as swollen rivers and streams spilled onto roadways.

The National Weather Service recorded nearly 3 1/2 inches of rainfall in Monroe County and more than five inches in Lawrence County.

However, some schools recorded buses late this morning and Richland Bean Blossom School Corporation was on a two-hour delay due to flood waters.

Roads were closed due to high water near Bean Blossom Creek and just off of State Road 46 in Brown County.

Much of the flooding across south central Indiana has receded.

More rain is expected on Wednesday.
