An Indiana University senior was found dead in an off-campus home Tuesday. IU officials identified the student to be Jordan Long.
Bloomington Police Lt. John Kovach says police arrived at the home on North Dunn Street in response to a possible death around 12:30 p.m.
Kovach says when police arrived, Long was on his back in the living room due to lifesaving measures. He says Long lived with four roommates.
Kovach says the roommates told police that they had "gone out" the night before and arrived home at 3 a.m.
They told police that Long had fallen asleep on the living room sofa and that everything had appeared fine.
The next morning, the first roommate to wake up entered the living room around noon and checked on Long. Upon noticing Long was unresponsive, he called the police.
Kovach says no foul play is suspected and Long's death is now being investigated by the Monroe County Coroner.
The coroner’s office says cause of death and manner of death are pending autopsy/toxicology results.
According to his social media pages, Long was a senior who attended Westfield High School, north of Indianapolis.
