We Want To Hear From Essential Workers: Tell Us Your Story

As many employees have transitioned to working from home, a large number of others have been asked to step up in new ways. If you work in healthcare, food service, retail, construction, infrastructure, child care - any job that has been deemed essential - we want to hear from you.

We're asking essential employees to send us short voice memos telling us how they're dealing with the outbreak. Tell us about your job, your family or how you're making the days go by a little bit faster.

If you have a smartphone, all you need to do is open up your voice memo or voice recorder app, hit record, tell your story and then press "Stop." Then, visit our Google Form on your device, enter your info and attach your file.

Or, send your voice recording as an attachment on an email with your name, job and city of residence to pknobelo@iu.edu and use the subject line "WFIU Essential Worker Story."

Please try to keep recordings no longer than 2 minutes.

Thank you for all you do, and thank you for sharing your story.

Submit Your Story Now »

DEADLINE: Monday, April 20 by 10 a.m.

* DISCLAIMER: By submitting your audio story, understand that you are allowing WFIU Public Radio to publish this material online and/or on broadcast. When you submit a voice memo to WFIU, only your first name, occupation and city of residence will be used in publication.
