At IU Health’s South Central Region Hospitals, 30 people are being treated for COVID-19. An additional eight people are waiting on test results.

As of Monday, there are 87 total positive cases in Monroe County.

Of the 417 South Central Region staff members who have been tested, 41 of those tests were positive. There are 3,800 staff at the IU South Central Region Hospitals.

So far, 434 staff have been quarantined and 342 have returned to work.

IU Health says if a staff member shows symptoms consistent with COVID-19, they are asked to temporaily self-isolate. Then, they are screened through the IU Health's virtual clinic to determine if they meet criteria for a COVID-19 test. If the staff member's test result is negative, they touch base through the virtual clinic again and can return to work after 24 hours without fever and use of medication. If a staff member tests positive for the virus, they abstain from work for a minimum of a week, starting when symptoms began to 72 hours after being symptom-free.
