Indiana University football season ticket holders have some new offers to this year’s renewal subscriptions due to the pandemic.
The changes include extended deadlines, refunds for canceled games, and a new payment plan.
A statement from the athletics department calls the changes fan-friendly and says they offer more flexibility and assurance to fans for the upcoming football season.
“These are unprecedented times, and we understand that there is a great deal of uncertainty as we focus on the present but also look ahead to the fall,” said IU Athletics Director Fred Glass. “These changes are designed to give our fans the confidence and flexibility that they need as they invest and support our teams moving forward.”
IU Athletics is extending the renewal and priority point deadline until May 15. If any games are canceled, tickets will be reimbursed or credited if purchased through the IU ticket office. This includes any IU athletic games.
Season ticket holders may also put down 5 percent on a subscription and split the remaining balance on July 15 and Aug. 15.
Indiana (8-5) finished with a winning conference record for the first time since 1993 (5-3) and played its third bowl game in five seasons. The Hoosiers led Tennessee 22-9 with five minutes left in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, but lost 23-22.
IU opens the season at Wisconsin Friday, September 4. The Hoosiers home stand kicks off the following weekend with Western Kentucky.
