Indy Pride, Inc. hosts its annual Pride Parade and Festival Saturday.
The Cadillac Barbie IN Pride Parade starts at 9:30 a.m. in downtown Indianapolis. The first parade was held in 2005 with just one float, an antique truck and a few cars, a few drag queens and several walking groups. The parade lasted only 15 minutes.
Last year's parade featured more than 150 vehicles, floats and walking groups.
Saturday's festival runs from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the American Legion Mall.
The festival will feature Indiana bands and local drag queens, as well as performances from RuPaul's Drag Race performers JuJubee and Trixie Mattel.
The festival and parade are both free to attend.
