Wednesday is move-in day for most incoming freshmen at Indiana University Bloomington. IU officials estimate 7,683 first-year students on the university's Bloomington campus, and says 57 percent are from Indiana.
"We're just now putting everything in my room," says George Schatzlein of Indianapolis. "It's a crazy feeling but it's really exciting, it's like a new chapter in my life."
Schatzlein will study jazz guitar at the Jacobs School of Music.
Officials says 1,184 students are from minority groups, which is about 15 percent of the incoming class. But, IU says that's a 38 percent increase since 2011.
Last year's record enrollment was a little over two percent higher than this year's incoming class.
