Both the Indiana University and Purdue University boards of trustees voted Friday to continue their agreement for management of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne for another five years.
As part of the new agreement, a revised governance structure must be presented to both boards by December. Any changes to the current structure would have to be approved by trustees.
A Legislative Services Agency report from earlier this year recommends Purdue take over primary governance of the campus, making IPFW a campus in the Purdue system.
The current agreement is set to expire at the end of the month and gives Purdue financial responsibility for the Fort Wayne campus.
