IU's Williams To Enter NBA Draft; Not Hire Agent

Indiana University's Troy Williams is entering this year's NBA draft but says he hasn't ruled out returning to play for the Hoosiers during his final season of eligibility.

"After much thought and family discussion, I've decided to declare for this year's NBA Draft but will not hire an agent," Williams said in a statement. "This gives me the opportunity to explore future possibilities, while keeping my options open. Coach Crean is always supportive and makes sure that you have the best information to help you make a decision like this and I value his input. I'm excited to go through this process."

Williams started in all but one game last season, averaging 13.3 points and 5.8 rebounds. He led the team in steals. He's scheduled to graduate with a degree in Rec Sports Management next month but has one remaining year of eligibility.

IU Athletics says Williams will not hire an agent.
