Indiana Landmarks released a list of the 10 most endangered structures in the state Thursday. The list includes eight new entrants.
Of the endangered landmarks, five were established in the 19th century. The list features historical structures needing rehabilitation to continue being maintained.
"Places that land on the 10 Most Endangered often face a combination of problems rather than a single threat," says President of Indiana Landmarks Marsh Davis in a statement. "A bid for demolition is a loud signal, of course, but many of these sites suffer abandonment, neglect, dilapidation, and obsolete use."
Indiana Landmarks has released annual lists of endangered structures since 1991.
