The families of two Indiana teenagers injured in a July 2013 parasailing accident in Florida have reached a settlement.
Alexis Fairchild of Huntington and Sidney Good of Roanoke suffered severe head and spinal injuries when the line broke that connected them to the boat. The girls crashed into a 13th floor condominium, fell through power lines and landed on a parked car.
A Florida agency representing the Good family, The Pittman Firm, announced that all parties reached a settlement on Feb. 16.
Details of the settlement are confidential, but the five defendants in the case agreed to pay the families for their daughters‘ injuries.
A statement from the law firm states both girls continue to live with the effects of their injuries, which, for Good, include vision problems.
