Fire Department Dispatched To Bloomington's Village Deli

Here's what we know:

  • The Bloomington Fire Department was called to The Village Deli at 409 E. Kirkwood Ave. around noon Sunday, Bloomington Police Department Officer Morgan Berns says.

  • Firefighters individually escorted employees into the building at 1:35 p.m. to collect their personal belongings.

  • Employees declined to comment on the fire.

  • Photos indicate the fire started in the back of the restaurant.
