Gov. Mike Pence has cancelled his scheduled Tuesday appearance at the Lincoln Day Dinner in Bloomington.
Monroe County Republican Party Chairman Steve Hogan confirmed that Pence will not be speaking at the dinner. Attorney General Greg Zoeller will speak instead.
There had been planned protests leading up to the meeting.
Pence's office has not commented on the cancellation.
Pence has cancelled other public events since signing the "Religious Freedom Restoration Act" into law Thursday. Some say the law allows discrimination against gay people.
