A new survey ranks four Indiana colleges in the top 60 when it comes to return on investment.
Purdue University, Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, Wabash College and the University of Notre Dame all made the top 100 of more than 1,200 colleges ranked by Payscale.com.
The report says college is an investment of time and money, and these are among the institutions that provide the best long-term returns on investment for students and their financially challenged parents.
It calculates a 20-year return on investment by salaries during that period compared to what they would earn as high school graduates.
With student loan debt now topping $1 trillion, Payscale.com says analyzing the costs and returns of a college education remains advisable.
