Indiana's business taxes are some of the lowest in the nation, according to a new report.
A study from the Anderson Economic Group shows Indiana's tax burden for businesses stood at 7.5 percent in 2013—the seventh lowest in the the U.S.
The state with the smallest business tax burden in 2013 was Oregon at 5.6 percent, and the state with the highest was Alaska at 19.8 percent.
The study highlighting Indiana's favorable tax climate for businesses comes on the heels of the state's decision to take out a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal earlier this week attacking a $1.5 billion tax hike in Connecticut.
That ad appealed specifically to General Electric. The company has threatened to leave Connecticut because of tax increases, but some tax experts say it's unlikely Connecticut-based companies will be relocating to Indiana any time soon.
