Morning Headline Roundup: Wednesday, June 17, 2015

Good morning! Here are a few of the stories on our radar today.

1. State health officials will hold a briefing Wednesday on the HIV outbreak response in southeastern Indiana.

Officials are expected to address long-term sustainability efforts and the transition planning process.

The number of HIV cases in the outbreak reached 170 this week.

2. The state has a new way to track government corruption.

The State Board of Accounts, the state agency tasked with auditing local government like towns and schools, recently hired Andy Shank for a newly created position—Director of Special Investigations.

Shank's role is to act as a liaison between SBOA and local agencies, like county prosecutors and police.

3. Bloomington-based Cook Group has a new leader.

Current Cook Medical President Pete Yonkman will succeed parent company President Kem Hawkins beginning next month.

Hawkins is retiring after 34 years with the medical device manufacturer.
