Heavy rains that fell across central Indiana on Sunday set a record in Indianapolis.
Indianapolis has seen 13.13 inches of rain in July, beating the previous wettest month on record of 13.12 inches set in 1875.
But National Weather Service Hydrologist Al Shipe says there could soon be an end to the heavy rain.
"We may get some rain, but it looks like the heaviest rain is over," Shipe says. "It may be over for much of the summer, but we'll see."
The state averaged 9.03 inches of rain in June.
