The National Weather Service is changing its forecast of a white Christmas for Indiana to mostly rain with a mix of snow.
Daytime temperatures are expected to be in the 40s and 50s, and rain is likely throughout the week. Rain could possibly be mixed with snow on Christmas Eve, with chances of snow more likely in the northern part of the state.
Christmas day is forecast to be partly sunny, with a high near 41.

The National Weather Service is predicting Indiana will have snow on the ground Christmas morning, although meteorologists don't know exactly how much.
Indiana-based National Weather Service Meteorologist John Kwiatkowski says a low pressure system is heading toward Indiana, which will likely bring strong winds and the possibility of snowfall during the middle of next week.
"I think people can plan on at least some snow," Kwiatkowski says. "It's going to most likely be blowing around."
That means inclement weather could also present a challenge for travelers.
Kwiatkowski says the safest time to travel will likely be before Wednesday. The system could change, but harsher conditions are expected on Christmas Eve.
Temperatures during the middle of next week should be in the mid-30s during the day and 20s at night.
