MCCSC released its Referendum Impact Report, detailing how $45 million has been invested into local schools.

The Monroe County Community School Corporation will move to Phase Green beginning Monday.

That means all students can attend in-school five days a week. It’s the first time since late October that the school system has not had at least some of its students in a hybrid learning situation or all remote learning.

MCCSC is currently in Phase Yellow, which means in-school learning for elementary students and hybrid learning – students alternate days of attendance based on last names – for middle and high schools.

The seven-day positivity rate for the county is currently at 5.07%, making it one of just seven counties in the state in the yellow range, which includes positivity rates from 5-9.9%. No county is in the blue range, which are test rates lower than 5%.

The MCCSC metrics committee will meet again on Feb. 16 to determine the phase for the week beginning Feb. 22. The system will remain in Phase Green until then.
