Both Monroe County Public Library branches will resume limited, in-building services February 22, and curbside pick-up will be discontinued.
That’s according to a Tuesday MCPL statement.
Hours at both locations will still be limited, and the first hour each day will be for high-risk patrons. The library is limiting all visits to one hour.
The Main Library’s building capacity will be 100 and the Ellettsville branch’s capacity will be 40 when opened later this month.
Services will include the use of a computer, digital creativity workstations, scanner, fax machine, copier, and/or printer, as well as the ability to browse the shelves and pick up holds. Collections, such as print newspapers and children’s toys won’t be available.
MCPL says they are adding a pharmacy-style drive-up window with a two-way speaker at the Main Branch. Once completed, the window will provide a contactless service point for people who would rather not go in.
Meeting rooms and seating in the libraries will not be available for use.
