Investigators on Thursday identified 30-year-old Eric Quentin Johnson as a person of interest in the Jan. 28 murder of a Bloomington woman.
A news release from the Bloomington Police Department says investigators are currently trying to locate Johnson, who BPD considers to be "armed and dangerous." The department asks the public to notify police and not to engage if Johnson is spotted.
The release describes Johnson as being 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
Emergency responders found 32-year-old Teresa Michael deceased in a South Basswood Drive apartment last Thursday after responding to a call about a fire in the building.

An autopsy found that while Michael had sustained burns from the fire, her preliminary cause of death was by strangulation. Monroe County Coroner Joani Shields preliminarily ruled Michael's death a homicide.
Investigators are also trying to locate the car that Michaels had been driving: a silver 2007 Dodge Caliber with an Indiana license plate, number 619DNS.
BPD continues to ask the public for any information pertaining to the murder, including from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the apartment's parking lot on Jan. 28.
