Two new COVID-19 cases have been identified among City workers, according to a press release.
A Bloomington Police Department employee and a Bloomington Fire Department employee tested positive last week. That brings total cases to 68 among City workers.
The BPD employee, who works at the Central Emergency Dispatch Center, received a positive test Jan. 29. The BFD employee received a positive result Feb. 3.

According to the City, no close contacts occurred. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention define a close contact as someone within six feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes starting two days before symptoms appear.
The Indiana Department of Health reported Thursday 58 new cases and one new death in Monroe County, increasing the county total to 9,817 cases and 150 deaths.
