Bloomington and Monroe County saw more than half a foot of snow roll in yesterday, and another wave of heavy snow is expected to hit Bloomington Wednesday.
That’s according to Crystal Pettet, a lead meteorologist with the National Weather Service. She says Wednesday’s snow is expected to begin in the afternoon and continue until Thursday night.
She says the exact amount expected starting Wednesday is still uncertain.
“People will need to monitor the forecast going forward because it does look like snow and it looks like it could be decent to potentially significant amounts of snow.”
Pettet says the last big snow the Monroe County area saw was in March 2018 when over 10 inches was recorded.
