Indiana's 7-Day Positivity Rate Continues To Increase

COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to increase with 1,138 Hoosiers hospitalized due to the virus.

The Indiana Department of Health reported 1,240 new COVID-19 cases and nine confirmed deaths Thursday, bringing the state totals to 687,713 cases and 12,642 confirmed deaths.

Thursday's update from IDOH shows a positivity rate of 4%, up from 3.9% the day before.

Currently, there are 677 Hoosiers hospitalized with the virus.

In Monroe County, officials reported 47 new cases and no new deaths Thursday. 

Monroe County’s totals are now 10,955 cases and 166 deaths. The county’s positivity rate remains at 0.9% for the third day in a row, and area hospitalizations are at 28.

Veteran Health Indiana is now offering COVID-19 vaccinations to all Veterans, spouses, caregivers, and beneficiaries. Veterans and eligible individuals may call 317-988-4899 weekdays to schedule appointments in Indianapolis, Bloomington, Martinsville, Shelbyville, Terre Haute, Wakeman, and West Lafayette.
