The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) reported 1,397 new COVID-19 cases and 16 confirmed deaths Thursday, bringing the state totals to 694,836 cases and 12,710 confirmed deaths.
The statewide seven-day all-test positivity rate increased to 4.6%, up from 4.5% Wednesday.
In Monroe County, officials reported 37 new cases and no new deaths. County totals are now 11,142 cases and 166 deaths. The county’s positivity rate is at 1% for the fifth day in a row, and area hospitalizations are at 30.
IDOH also reports 30,699 more people have become fully vaccinated as of Thursday. More than 1.3 million Hoosiers are now fully vaccinated.
And in Monroe County, 812 newly-fully vaccinated people are part of the total 27,504 people in the county who have been fully immunized against the virus.
