The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) reported 1,374 new COVID-19 cases and 16 confirmed deaths Friday, bringing the state totals to 696,175 cases and 12,726 confirmed deaths.
The statewide seven-day all-test positivity rate increased to 4.7%, up from 4.6% Thursday.
In Monroe County, officials reported 54 new cases and no new deaths. County totals are now 11,196 cases and 166 deaths. The county’s positivity rate is at 1.1%, up from 1% Thursday. Area hospitalizations are at 31.
IDOH also reports 30,539 more people have become fully vaccinated as of Friday. More than 1.3 million Hoosiers are now fully vaccinated.
And in Monroe County, 688 newly-fully vaccinated people are part of the total 28,193 people in the county who have been fully immunized against the virus.
