Indiana: Another 1,041 COVID-19 Cases, 7 New Deaths Confirmed

Indiana health authorities recorded 1,041 more positive COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 708,067.

The State Department of Health also reported seven more deaths, bringing the overall death toll to 12,815 since the pandemic began.

According to the health department, the state has conducted over 9.4 million tests for the virus. It added 25,068 more to the total Sunday.

In Monroe County, health officials said 18 people tested positive for the virus. Some 11,462 county residents have tested positive overall.

The death toll in Monroe County remained the same at 166. 

There were 829 people hospitalized in Indiana including 30 in Indiana.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is offering Moderna vaccines until 7 p.m. Sunday without appointment. The entrance area is Gate 2 off of 16th Street.
