Thursday's update from the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) shows the statewide seven-day all-test positivity rate dropped for the second day in a row.
It's now 5%, down from 5.1%. In Monroe County, the positivity rate remains at 1.3% for the ninth day in a row.
In total, 35,330 people have received full doses of COVID-19 vaccines in Monroe County.
Monroe County administered 1,109 second doses and 932 first doses of the two-shot Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines in the last 24 hours. As of Thursday, 27.6% of Monroe County's population over age 16 have been fully vaccinated and 43.9% have received at least one shot.
Across the state, IDOH reports 31,359 more people have become fully vaccinated, with more than 1.6 million Hoosiers now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
IDOH also reported 1,250 new positive cases and four confirmed COVID-19 deaths Thursday, bringing the state totals to 711,787 cases and 12,844 deaths.
In Monroe County, officials reported 28 new cases and no new deaths. County totals are now 11,535 cases and 166 deaths. Area hospitalizations increased to 28.
