Bloomington city officials are reporting three new positive COVID-19 cases among city employees. A City Hall employee, Bloomington Utilities (CBU) worker and a Parks & Rec employee all received positive tests over the last week.
According to a city news release, close contacts among the colleagues of the utilities and City Hall employees have been identified and neither employee has contact with members of the public. The Parks worker did not have close contact with colleagues nor with the public.
These new cases mark the fifth, sixth and seventh COVID-19 cases among city employees in April, and eightieth, eighty-first and eighty-second cases since last March.
The city says cleaning protocols are complete of shared workspaces and vehicles.
