Indiana Records 1,072 New COVID-19 Infections, 11 More Deaths

Health officials reported 1,072 new COVID-19 infections and 11 more deaths Sunday.

The latest numbers from the State Department of Health brought the total number of infections to 722,646 and death toll to 12,937.

The state has conducted more than 9.8 million tests for the virus including 27,109 newly administered tests as of Sunday at noon.

In Monroe County, one person died after testing positive, bringing the county total to 168. The health department also reported 22 new infections.

The department reported 23 patients were in county hospitals as of Sunday.

Overall, there were 863 hospitalized COVID-19 patients across the state. 

The 7-day positivity rate was 4.4% overall and 1% in Monroe County.
