Deputies in Sullivan County traced the theft of several pieces of farm equipment to a man in Clay County.

According to Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom, deputies learned of several stolen items including a handgun, a motor vehicle, a four wheel ATV, a car trailer, box trailer, brush hog, horse saddles, as well as several thousand dollars’ worth of power tools and equipment.

Sullivan Deputy Jason Copeland received word that the four wheeler may be located at a residence inside Clay County, not far from Jasonville.

Authorities from the Clay and Sullivan County Sheriff's Offices, along with the Dugger, Shelburn, and Jasonville police departments arrived at Ronald Hayne's property on May 14th.

They not only discovered the stolen four wheeler, but also stumbled upon two active meth labs and $10,000 worth of stolen property.

Hayne was booked into the Clay County jail on several charges.
