City of Bloomington officials said one employee with the police department’s dispatch center reported a positive COVID-19 test this week.

The employee experienced symptoms Monday and received their positive test result Tuesday. Their last shift was on Sunday, according to a statement from the city.

By the Centers For Disease Control’s standards, no close contacts were identified at the employee’s workplace.

This is the only positive COVID-19 test reported among city employees this month so far, and is the 90 th positive test reported by city workers since the start of the pandemic.

The city reported two positive cases among employees in July and two in June.
