Funeral Procession For Owen County EMT Runs From Bloomington To Spencer

A funeral procession for Owen County Paramedic Brandon Staley closed intersections along Ind. 45-46 from the east side of Bloomington to Spencer Wednesday.

Staley died from an apparent heart attack while he and other rescuers were responding to a traffic accident near Gosport. Staley and another emergency medical technician were tending to two children when he was stricken.

The 46-year-old Staley was a lifelong resident of Ellettsville.

The funeral procession began after the funeral Wednesday at Day and Deremiah Funeral Home in Bloomington and continued to the Owen County EMS headquarters in Spencer.
