The city of Bloomington removed a homeless encampment from under the B-Line over Grimes lane Friday morning.
City officials posted signs on Tuesday warning that people living under the bridge at 72 hours to leave, since they are not allowed to camp on public property.
Volunteers with Beacon Inc. donated supplies to the people who are being displaced.
“We came with 10 sleeping bags and 40 tents, and we’ve handed out about 14 tents and 6 sleeping bags so far,” said Director of Programs Steve Taft.

Taft blames the lack of affordable housing for the homeless problem and said many of the people without a place to live will camp somewhere else.
