Monroe County Judge Darcie Fawcett said during the hearing that they would issue a sentencing after further deliberation of evidence presented Monday, given the age of the victim and Ko at the time of the incident.
Family of the victim, an IU police lieutenant at the scene of the stabbing and a social worker who issued an evaluation report on Ko all testified during the sentencing hearing Monday.
