Indiana Gaming Commission Issues Silver Alert For Michigan City Woman

The Indiana Gaming Commission is investigating the disappearance of a Michigan City woman.

The commission issued a Statewide Silver Alert for 60-year-old Kelly Caviness, who was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26.

A spokesperson for the gaming commission said Caviness was at Blue Chip Casino with her daughter Sunday afternoon, when her daughter noticed she was missing. The daughter then reported Caviness missing to casino security and the IGC.

Caviness is 5 feet 4 inches tall, 250 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes with pink laces. The alert says she’s believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.

Anyone with information on Caviness or her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Indiana Gaming Commission at (219) 877-2116.
