Come-and-go storms and near-record heat

Off and on showers are foreseen in the next seven days as isolated thunderstorms will continue to pass through this evening before clearing out to mostly sunny skies tomorrow morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will arrive Monday afternoon, disperse by Tuesday, and return Wednesday night lasting through Thursday morning.

Temperatures are expected to swell through the weekend as temperatures rise from highs of 76 degrees today, 81 tomorrow, and topping at 84 by Sunday. Highs will fall into the upper 70s by Tuesday. Similarly, lows will increase with tonight’s expected 59 degrees reaching to 66 on Sunday, before steadying into the lower 60s on Monday.

With temperatures lingering in the upper 70s and lower 80s, these seasonably high degrees are feeling nearly just like a summer evening. Predictions already expect Sunday night’s low to break record highs. These temperatures are 10 to 20 degrees above the normal of mid-to-upper 60s for highs. The National Weather Service has indicated in its October outlook that above normal temperatures are likely through the end of the month.
