The City of Bloomington reported a record 38 new COVID-19 cases among its employees this week, up from 20 last week. This brings the city employee total since the pandemic began to 232.
None of the 38 employees exposed members of the public, but one City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) employee identified close contacts. The city has notified those co-workers.
One Parks and Recreation employee and one CBU employee were linked to previous cases.

- Bloomington Housing Authority: 6
- Public Works: 6
- City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU): 5
- Bloomington Police Department (BPD): 4
- City Hall: 4
- Parks and Recreation: 3
- Bloomington Transit: 1
One city hall employee and one public works employee were asymptomatic but tested positive as part of the city’s mandatory testing policy for those who have not submitted proof of vaccination.
