Monroe County confirmed 112 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up from 48 Monday. In total, 26,627 county residents have tested positive since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the county reported one new death, bringing its pandemic total to 254.
In District 8, which includes Monroe, Brown, and Bartholomew counties, 130 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, up from 128 Monday. Exactly 38 percent of ICU beds are occupied by COVID-19 patients and about 32 percent of beds are still available.
The county’s seven-day positivity rate is 19.1 percent.
State
The state confirmed 3,092 new cases Tuesday, up from 2,027 Monday. In total, 1,655,125 Hoosiers have tested positive since the pandemic began.
The state also added 95 new deaths, which occurred between Jan. 18- Feb. 7. This means 21,079 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19.
The state’s seven-day positivity rate is now 21.9 percent.
