Joshua Wagner of Greenwood was sentenced Friday in federal court to 30 days in jail and ordered to pay a $500 fine for his involvement in the Jan. 6 insurrection.

He pleaded guilty to charges of parading, demonstrating, or picketing in the Capitol Building – a federal offense with a maximum sentence of 6 months.

Wagner attended the riot with a Greenfield man, Israel Tutrow, who was sentenced in December to 3 years of probation.

The two planned to attend a rally in D.C., but arrived late and joined the riot marching toward the capitol. They were both identified in “Be On The Look Out” images issued by the FBI.

Wagner took video during riot, and could be heard discouraging other participants from leaving.

Wagner will surrender himself once a facility for the sentence has been assigned.
