The city of Bloomington added four workers to its total who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began, bringing that number to 294.

Last week, the city reported five new cases among employees. City employee cases have been dropping since 38 weekly cases were reported Jan. 20.

Two of this week’s cases were from the Bloomington Police Department. One was from the fire department, and one was from the Bloomington Housing Authority.

The city said in a release that any close contacts were notified but no members of the public were exposed during the course of the employees’ work.
